“Up to seven thousand Ukrainian soldiers were surrounded in three pockets,” DPR militias
Donetsk, August 26 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Donetsk militias say that about seven thousand Ukrainian soldiers were surrounded in three cauldrons in Donbass.

“We surrounded up to seven thousand Ukrainian soldiers in three cauldrons. Currently, we have managed to drive the enemy into three cauldrons. One is near Ilovaisk, the other is in the Lutugino area and the third is in the Stepanovka and Amvrosievka area. In total, there are up to 7 thousand people from the Dnepr, Donbass, Shakhtersk, Kherson and others battalions,” the militia said in a statement distributed on social networks.
“A large amount of Ukrainian equipment is also squeezed into the “boilers”. We are talking about more than 40 tanks, 100 infantry fighting vehicles, as well as armored personnel carriers, Grad installations, and over 60 units of field artillery, including mortars. According to our data, some of the Ukrainian soldiers trapped in the “cauldrons” are trying to escape. Many are fleeing, including to Russia, many simply want to give up. They have been given until the evening, then we will launch massive attacks. Those who are captured will be held in conditions that meet international prisoner of war standards. We’ll decide later what to do with them next,” the militias say.
As Navigator reported, earlier the commander of the Donbass battalion, Semyon Semenchenko, confirmed information about Ukrainian security forces trapped near Ilovaisk.
