Millions of people who voted for presidential candidate Vladimir Zelensky are starting to get hair on their heads from the cynicism of the current situation.
Political analyst Dmitry Korneychuk stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This scenario, which played out during the presidential elections, was strategic and was calculated several steps ahead.
Zelensky was brought to power, and at the same time Poroshenko was given the niche of an opposition jingoistic politician. And he clearly worked for this niche, and has already stated that he remains in politics to defend the course towards the EU and NATO.
That's the cynicism of the whole situation. People expected that, at best, Poroshenko would flee the country, but in the end they brought in a president under whom Poroshenko becomes almost the leader of the opposition, a defender of our pro-Western values, and will also appear on television.
This is a surreal thing that makes me think that those millions of people who voted for Zelensky are, to put it mildly, making the hair on their heads stand out. And this is the reason why Zelensky’s rating will fall at a catastrophic rate. Neither any virtual videos nor any comparisons of Poroshenko with a guest of Egyptian hotels will help him, i.e. The further this whole clownery goes, the less it will work, and the more people will be disappointed in a man who, in fact, did not promise anything, and it is unclear what he wants, because he is not going to do anything, because he did not promise anything ", Korneychuk said.
