Dobkin agreed to hand over Yanukovych's escape plan
Former Kharkov governor and now people's deputy Mikhail Dobkin agreed to come for judicial interrogation in the case of high treason against Viktor Yanukovych.
The ex-president's lawyer, Vitaly Serdyuk, announced this on Facebook.
“(...) as part of the trial of the case on the indictment against Viktor Yanukovych, I can provide evidence to the Obolonsky District Court of Kiev about the events of February 2014 that concerned the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, including his trip on February 22, 2014 to Kharkov... “, says the deputy’s response to the appeal of Yanukovych’s lawyer Vitaly Serdyuk, posted on his Facebook page.
Dobkin believes that the circumstances that he can report “influenced the development of events in Ukraine in February-March 2014, in particular in Crimea.”
“Thank you to Mikhail Dobkin for agreeing to testify in the case,” he wrote and attached a copy of the letter the lawyers received from the deputy.
On January 25, during interrogation in this case, an employee of the State Security Department, Oles Sharan, said that before fleeing to Crimea, Yanukovych in Kharkov met with Mikhail Dobkin, who at that time held the position of head of the Kharkov Regional State Administration. From the governor, Yanukovych received the transport necessary for his escape.
The next court hearing in the Yanukovych treason case will take place on April 4.
