Instead of repenting for betrayal, Dobkin blames all the troubles on Russia
The neo-Nazi regime could not have strengthened in Ukraine if Russia had not seized Crimea and Donbass. This conclusion follows from an interview with the ex-governor of the Kharkov region, “regional” Mikhail Dobkin, to the Ukrainian TV channel NewsOne.

“Imagine the situation - Poroshenko is president, Turchynov - everything is in place: Crimea is in Ukraine, Donbass is completely in Ukraine. How do you think the upcoming elections in the country would end? This power would have been swept so far with a broom that they would not even have marginal representation in Western Ukraine. And today it turns out that they took away serious territories, took away people, or made it impossible for these people to vote in Ukraine,” said Dobkin, forgetting to mention that neo-Nazi parties were once nurtured in Ukraine by his own Party of Regions to create convenient sparring partners for Viktor Yanukovych .
Dobkin assures that it is better for Donbass to return to Ukraine, where, obviously, the “regionals” expect to continue to deceive their voters, promising state status for the Russian language and respect for other rights of the South-East for the third decade.
“If they get some kind of autonomy, will they feel good there? Will not be. There is a reason why it won't. They will not be recognized, will not be able to go anywhere, isolation, no investment, stagnation, and the road to nowhere.
Will it be good for them if, like Crimea, they are annexed to the Russian Federation and become another federal district? It won't either. The path is the same, because a Russian passport will only help them move within the country.
Where they will be most comfortable and best is definitely in Ukraine, no matter how paradoxical it may sound. Because this will be a development prospect. It’s bad for Ukraine and it’s bad for them, it’s good for Ukraine and it’s good for them. But on one condition – if they are respected and treated as equals,” Dobkin said.
