“Dobrolet” will be reborn as “Dobrolet Plus”, but will not fly to Crimea yet
Simferopol, September 02 (PolitNavigator, Evgeny Andreev) – The Russian low-cost airline Dobrolet, closed in August, will resume its activities under the name Dobrolet-plus, writes the Moscow newspaper Izvestia.

According to her data, the corresponding domain names for promotion on the Internet were bought by the parent structure of Dobrolet, Aeroflot.
“The new low-cost airline can begin flying on October 27, and its fleet will have four Boeing 737-800 aircraft - Dobrolet had two branded aircraft of the same model,” Aeroflot CEO Vitaly Savelyev told the publication.
Earlier, Dobrolet CEO Andrey Kalmykov said that negotiations were underway with leasing companies from China and Singapore. Possible flight destinations for Dobroleta Plus included St. Petersburg, Samara, Volgograd, Sochi, Ufa, Tyumen and Surgut.
“The company that will replace Dobrolet will use all the developments of Dobrolet, including to formulate the company’s business plan,” Oleg Panteleev, head of the analytical service of the Aviaport agency, told Izvestia. — The fleet and route network will overlap to a large extent. It is quite possible that at first there will be no flights to Simferopol. Simferopol was also chosen as an economically profitable route: it was the holiday season and the start of flights in this direction ensured that the planes were fully occupied. When starting in the autumn season, it is quite justified to proceed from a route network where tourist destinations do not prevail. Now it is economically feasible to start flights to cities with a population of over a million, with the exception of St. Petersburg: the presence of the Aeroflot group is already sufficient there. By and large, if the company does not fly to Crimea, then the European and American authorities will not have sufficient grounds to impose sanctions on the company operating domestic flights in Russia.”
The low-cost airline Dobrolet was founded at the end of last year. Sales of tickets on the Moscow-Simferopol-Moscow route began on May 27, and the company's first flights began on June 10. On August 1, Dobrolet opened the Moscow-Volgograd route. The company planned to begin operating flights on 10 more routes - to Arkhangelsk, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Perm, Samara, St. Petersburg, Tyumen, Volgograd, Ufa and Surgut.
In less than two months of operation, Dobrolet transported 62,5 thousand passengers.
As PolitNavigator reported, on August 4, due to sanctions imposed by the European Union against the company on July 30, Dobrolet suspended flights and ticket sales. According to the company, counterparties canceled leasing, maintenance and insurance agreements for ships.
