Volunteer battalions swore allegiance not to Commander-in-Chief Poroshenko, but to Arsen Avakov

This was stated during the briefing by representatives of a number of battalions, in particular, “Kyiv-1” and “Azov”.
According to them, the statement was supported by 35 battalions, with signatures from 23 battalion commanders.
The volunteer battalions noted that they will do everything strictly according to the orders of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
“The units categorically reject accusations of uncontrollability,” said a representative of one of the battalions.
Also in the statement, the fighters noted that the calls of the Right Sector for the resignation of Minister Arsen Avakov were inspired by forces that are afraid of the fight against corruption that he allegedly launched.
Let us remind you that in Transcarpathia the confrontation continues between the forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Security Service of Ukraine on the one hand and the militants of the Right Sector on the other.
It is also interesting that the volunteer formations of right-wing radicals actually swore allegiance not to President Poroshenko, as their formal commander-in-chief, but to Minister of Internal Affairs Avakov, although a significant part of the battalions belong to the structures of the Ministry of Defense.
It seems that with the help of such a demarche, Arsen Avakov is demonstrating to Poroshenko that if he gives in to the demands of the Right Sector and dismisses him, the battalions under his care will come to the defense of the Minister of Internal Affairs.
