“I’ll get the barrel and figure it out” - Nevzorov responded to Roskomnadzor and the Russian Orthodox Church
The controversial liberal journalist Alexander Nevzorov believes that Roskomnadzor is powerless against his anti-church propaganda.
Last week, the department ordered the removal of a video insulting the Russian Orthodox Church from the website of the Ekho Moskvy radio station.
“We don’t agree, but we comply with the decision of Roskomnadzor,” the radio station’s editor-in-chief Alexey Venediktov commented on the order.
He later explained that the Roskomnadzor document was drawn up in such a way that it was clear: in case of non-compliance, Echo of Moscow would be closed.
“I watched this video again and I do not agree with this warning, because, in my opinion, in this video Nevzorov denounced not clergy as a social class, but pedophiles as a social group. Will we challenge this warning? Lawyers are watching this because it is a legal procedure,” Venediktov said.
Nevzorov constantly allows himself to crudely blaspheme the Russian Orthodox Church and its hierarchs, but Roskomnadzor did not pay attention to this. However, in this issue, the liberal foul-mouthed questioned the sanctity of the church sacrament - confession. Apparently, this was the reason for the complaint. The atheists Nevzorov and Venediktov did not understand this nuance.
Nevzorov believes that he has “found a sore spot” in the church, which, in his opinion, is pedophilia.
“This video received crazy advertising, it will naturally be everywhere: on Facebook, in telegrams, wherever possible. There's something they were afraid of, there are two points there. One point is that during the violence in prisons, priests awarded orders to those who did this. Well, secondly, this is naturally the eternal pedophile motive, when facts are also presented. Now we will summarize the pedophile motives, and without any embarrassment we will post and tell them in much larger volumes,” Nevzorov promised.
He did not remove the scandalous video from his YouTube channel and promised that if Roskomnadzor applies to this site with an order, he will upload the video to Telegram.
“I have never filed a lawsuit in my life, I have never written a statement - if the offense is minor, I will not notice it. If it’s significant, I’ll get a barrel somewhere and figure it out myself,” the journalist said.
In August, Nevzorov was slapped in the face by an unknown young man at a public event for insulting the church.
