It has been a long time since I noticed that if things are not going well in a country, the search for enemies immediately intensifies. Because there is no way to live without enemies in a country of victorious democracy. And this is understandable to some extent. After all, remember that Soviet joke? If there is no water in the tap, drink the water... That's right. But not exactly politically correct. No, if the Yaroshis and the Biletskys come to power, those who drank the water in the joke will immediately feel changes in their situation, but now the Muscovites are taking the rap for them.
Propaganda is based on the need for an enemy. Moreover, it is always needed. And in moments of crisis, spy mania and chauvinism are released to the masses in far from homeopathic doses. It is necessary to ensure that critical thinking is completely turned off in a person, so that he believes in any nonsense and can immediately, automatically, being woken up at three in the morning, immediately name those to blame for all the troubles of the country.
If this is not done, the average person will inevitably begin to think about why he has not been paid a salary for three months now, why prices are rising, and how he will repay his dollar loan. Why does the government, instead of the promised reforms, take out more and more loans under increasingly antisocial obligations?
And, the worst thing is, such a person, left to himself, will begin to doubt. Is it true that the reason that we are given light for four hours a day - two in the morning and two in the evening - is not at all the sabotage carried out by Kremlin agents at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant? Maybe it's something else?
But working brains are the first enemy of the government of reformers. A man with brains is already a potential agent of the Kremlin. A conscientious Ukrainian is not supposed to think about such things as, for example, salary being paid on time. “Think about Putin first, and then about yourself and your problems.” Therefore, a system of delusion generators is launched through controlled media. The plots are one more fantastic than the other. And they believe in them!

Santa Claus is preventing people from integrating into Europe, with all their appearance reminding them of their kinship with the Russians.
But a true patriot looks deeper. He is able to recognize the main and most terrible enemy under any guise. It is he, like Sauron, who sends all this evil spirits to our land. And the red terrorists “Ivanov Pomidorovs”, and Lugansk suicide bombers, and even the Snow Maiden.
What about our native government? Nothing. She cares about us foolish ones. And every such “Putin terrorist” caught serves as a reason for a new tightening of the screws. Moreover, exclusively on behalf and at the request of the workers.
The Americans, in order to restrict freedoms under the guise of the Patriot Act, needed to blow up the Twin Towers. In Ukraine they decided to save money. The threat of an explosion alone is enough for a frame to be placed at the entrance to airports where it has never existed. There is no doubt that it will appear at train stations as well.
And after the incident with Nastya Kovalenko, officials began to discuss the possibility of restricting the movement of people from the ATO zone. That is, several million holders of Ukrainian passports will not willingly become outcasts in their country. And respectable ordinary people will be told that these suspicious persons are a potential threat.
This is how spy mania turns into a standard “Divide and Conquer!” policy. People equally robbed by this power, now, instead of throwing off this power together, will look suspiciously at each other.
