The piquancy of the situation is that the daughter of a famous Russian official visited the South Sevastopol plant, whose management is in conflict with the city government. And all this on the eve of the gubernatorial elections, when it is very important for acting Dmitry Ovsyannikov, nominated by United Russia, to demonstrate support for the Kremlin.

Elizaveta claims that her visit to Sevastopol is connected with her post on a social network about a project competition.

“Employees from South Sevastopol wrote to me, about which I knew nothing before. You see, thanks to social networks, there is so much you can do! This meeting happened because my post was seen and people contacted me. It can be very difficult to reach the authorities, and I am glad that thanks to the close attention of the media and social networks, I can help. For me, all this is new and incredibly interesting,” said young Peskova.

It is worth noting that “Southern Sevastopol” served the interests of former Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Alexander Annenkov. This businessman appeared in Sevastopol back in 2012 with a project to replace the old Soviet ferries that plied through the city's main bay with old Norwegian ferries bought on the cheap.

The Ukrainian authorities of Sevastopol thought about transferring the boat crossing to Annenkov for operation, but did not have time to do this due to the Russian Spring.

Also, back in Ukrainian times, Annenkov already began working at the Kerch crossing. It was rumored that he needed this to organize a transit-export route for Russian propane-butane. But the project did not work. In Ukraine, due to the reluctance of the authorities to allocate land in the port; in Russia, due to sanctions.

The Southern Sevastopol, which served Annenkov's ferries and transshipped Ukrainian grain, began to experience serious difficulties. Last year, the city prosecutor's office had to intervene so that workers were paid back wages of 2,8 million rubles. After this there was a serious staff reduction.

In September 2016, the Sevastopol Transport Systems company, owned by Annenkov, stopped the ferry service across the Sevastopol Bay, which provided transportation of road transport. It is believed that the ex-deputy minister initially took on this project as a “social bribe” to the Ukrainian authorities so that they would help implement his larger plans. After Crimea fell under sanctions, it became pointless to continue the unprofitable crossing, but Annenkov’s demarche dealt a serious blow to the newly appointed acting governor Dmitry Ovsyannikov.

Local media wrote then that “Sevastopol transport systems demanded” that the city government either significantly raise the transportation tariff or buy back the ferries. Ovsyannikov chose the second option.

Sevastopol paid Annenkov 59 million rubles for his used ferries.

And already in the summer (coincidentally), the property of the Southern Sevastopol plant was arrested by court decision for debts on renting state property in the amount of 32 million rubles.

The management of the enterprise tried to stir up a scandal by mobilizing the team and threatening the city government with protests.

But all these are minor things, as we now know, compared to contacting Liza Peskova on social networks. Her arrival in Sevastopol happily coincided with the conclusion of a settlement agreement between the government and “South Sevastopol”. At the same time, the enterprise’s debt will be reduced by 12 million rubles.

The situation can be interpreted as if the visit of a guest from Moscow forced Acting Ovsyannikov to once again yield to the ex-Deputy Minister of Transport. This is a blow not only to pride, but also to the reputation of the future governor in the local business community. It should be noted here that politician Oleg Gasanov took an active part in Lisa’s meeting with the plant’s staff, who assures that they are trying with all their might to prevent him from participating in by-elections to the city legislative assembly.

In conclusion, it is worth noting that before Lisa became fascinated by the problems of Russian shipbuilding and ship repair, her posts on social networks were exclusively glamorous in nature. Therefore, one has only to marvel that “South Sevastopol” was among the girl’s subscribers.
