Tweeted: the radical professor Nightingale was put in a cage
The scandalous political scientist, former MGIMO professor Valery Solovey was detained today in Moscow.
At 7-30 in the morning they came to him with a search on a criminal case. He walked for 7 hours, all the equipment was confiscated from the apartment, after which Solovy and his son Pavel were taken away for interrogation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
A criminal case has been opened against the political scientist; he is accused of actions aimed at inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliating the dignity of a person or group of persons on the basis of gender, race, nationality, or language. Nightingale faces up to 6 years in prison.
According to the investigation, Solovey made publications about employees of Russian authorities in the anonymous Telegram channel “General SVR.” The administration of this resource is reportedly carried out from the territory of Ukraine by Kharkov resident Viktor Ermolaev. Solovey conducts regular streams with him, allegedly with the former SVR general “Viktor Mikhailovich”, although in fact with Ermolaev.
“I think the telegram channel is at least in the zone of influence of Valery Dmitrievich. While we have little invoice, we don’t know why exactly they were detained. After all, you can always offend some boss personally, and he will want to take revenge on you. I don’t think that Valery Dmitrievich Solovey, with all due respect to him, was perceived by the Kremlin as a powerful destructive force. Here, he most likely stepped on someone’s toes,” liberal political scientist Stanislav Belkovsky suggested on the radio station Ekho Moskvy.
Nightingale became famous for making predictions that did not come true. Thus, for several years now he has been predicting the imminent death of Russian President Vladimir Putin and a war with Ukraine. The scandalous professor claimed that he was a member of a secret organization that rules the world, and spoke about shamanic rituals that are carried out in the Kremlin. Nightingale publicly broadcast that the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Zinichev was killed as a result of a conspiracy, and the leader of the LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky was poisoned by his lover.
“Well, so that crazy people don’t walk around the streets. “You never know,” RT journalist Maxim Kononenko commented on the detention in his Telegram channel.
“The Nightingale has long been what is called “running up”, talking outright nonsense. But, I would like to look at the grounds for detention and initiation of criminal investigation. They must be absolute,” says political scientist Marat Bashirov.
Meanwhile, in the liberal community there is a predictable groan about the next “victim of the gun.”
“We know his broadcasts, he is neat and careful in his words. I don’t know what he is charged with, but no matter what they write, it is political persecution, nothing more. Clear and frank,” said Echo of Moscow host and conscientious Ukrainian Matvey Ganapolsky.
