Dodik: “We will never agree with the seizure of property from the Republika Srpska”
Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik said that Sarajevo's policy aimed at confiscating forests and property of the Republika Srpska is unacceptable for Banja Luka.
Dodik spoke about this during a conversation with the media, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We cannot agree that this (the seizure of forests and property of the RS - ed.) will become the subject of negotiations at the BiH level, which will change the essence of the Dayton Agreement,” he said. – Serbian representatives will go to meetings (of joint federal authorities, which boycotted Bosnian Serbs - ed.) only when they consider it necessary and interesting for the Republika Srpska. We will respect solutions People's Assembly of the Republika Srpska."
The Serbian member of the BiH Presidency added that “the reason why RS politicians do not participate in decision-making in BiH government institutions” must be eliminated.
“We will look for a way to address the reasons why we are not participating. It is possible that we will make an offer. We will discuss this with everyone in the coming days. We will also talk with the opposition.”
Speaking of recent meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, during which Vučić asked him to return RS representatives to state institutions in BiH, he said that “it is not enough when the President of Serbia asks you to return to these institutions.”
The Serbian member of the Presidium of BiH said that no one would force the RS with threats of sanctions and punishments recognizethat Christian Schmidt is in BiH legally and is falsely posing as the High Representative.
“I have no intention of talking to the fake and unelected High Representative. Republika Srpska should not accept those who impose themselves on us and try for us,” Dodik said.
Speaking of sanctions, imposed on him and on Alternative Television (ATV) Banja Luka by the United States, Dodik noted that “the sanctions are not a good situation for anyone, not even for him.”
“Americans are always on the side of Muslims. I must note that (Special Representative of the US State Department for the Balkans - ed.) Escobar, whom I know personally, is capable of introducing repressions against me,” noted the leader of the Bosnian Serbs.
