The Sarajevo authorities are trying to force the Republika Srpska to hang the flags of Bosnia and Herzegovina on administrative institutions, as well as to take away state farmland from the Serbian autonomy.

The leader of this party and Serbian member of the Presidium of BiH, Milorad Dodik, stated this at an extended meeting of the executive committee of the Union of Independent Social Democrats, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“BiH does not need such a Constitutional Court, but we (RS – ed.) it is especially not needed in this form,” said the leader of the Bosnian Serbs. – It serves only to make unconstitutional decisions... If today he determined that the land does not belong to legal entities, but to BiH, then he thereby violates the Constitution, because nowhere in the basic law of BiH does it say that the republic has any property, including land.”

Previously, the Constitutional Court of BiH challenged Article 53 of the Law on Agricultural Lands of the RS, according to which agricultural lands that are “public domain” are automatically considered the property of the Serbian entity.

In addition, at one of the next sessions the Constitutional Court should consider Dodik’s request to the Law on amendments to the Law on the Flag of BiH, according to which throughout the territory of BiH, including the RS, flags of this country, which are perceived by Serbs as symbols of Muslims, should be hung above administrative institutions -Croatian Federation.

The Serbian side is not sure that the judges will accept the arguments of the Serbian side (the law was adopted without approval by the Presidium), especially since it previously prohibited the entity from celebrating Republic Day on January 9, the date of the founding of the state formation of the Bosnian Serbs in 1992.

“The Constitutional Court is not the place of justice and constitutional decision-making,” said Milorad Dodik. “This is a place of unconstitutional decision-making and speculation.” They very easily ruled that January 9th cannot be Republic Day, but as soon as they had the opportunity to confirm that March 1st (Independence Day of BiH is the day of the referendum on secession from Yugoslavia, which the Bosnian Serbs did not support - I’m glad.) was something important for BiH, they did it right away. And in their decision on agricultural lands they continued in the same spirit. Of course we will not accept this."

Earlier the leader of Republika Srpska announced the possibility of the entity separating from BiH, if the systemic violation of the rights of the Bosnian Serbs continues there.
