Dodon promises Sandu a pro-Russian Maidan
Moldovan President Igor Dodon said that he could bring people to the streets to prevent the situation with Transnistria from worsening, as well as in relations with Russia after the statements of elected President Maia Sandu.
He stated this today during a live broadcast on his Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There were some incomprehensible statements from the new president in relation to the Russian Federation, in relation to Pridnestrovie. We will not allow a repeat of the 1990s, when in Chisinau the country’s leaders launched the slogans “suitcase-station-Russia”... We will do everything possible to maintain peace and tranquility in the country by all legal means, if necessary, I will call people to the streets to preserve peace,” Dodon said.
Last week, Sandu, in an interview with the Ukrainian publication Evropeyskaya Pravda, once again demanded the withdrawal of Russian troops from Transnistria.
