“I am in favor of having a different government. This is the shortest way to maintain balance. I want to confirm that if Philip resigns, I will not appoint any other candidate. I will use this opportunity for early parliamentary elections,” Dodon said.
He expects to receive a majority in the parliamentary elections due to the votes of Transnistria, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“More than 300 thousand Moldovan citizens live in Transnistria. These people can run and can vote as citizens of the Republic of Moldova. And we will give them this right. Districts must be approved a year before the elections - this fall. If the elections are early, we will change the legislation,” Dodon said.
He believes that the majority will be made up of left-wing parties.
“Left pro-Moldovan parties received first place in all elections, including Chisinau. It is possible to assemble a normal parliamentary majority. Then we will survive politically,” Dodon said.
