President of Transnistria Vadim Krasnoselsky and President of Moldova Igor Dodon reached an agreement today on four issues: obtaining a Moldovan license for a Transnistrian mobile operator, ending politically motivated criminal cases, free movement between the two countries and closing accounts of Transnistrian enterprises in Moldovan banks.

They told reporters about this following their meeting, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“An important point is everything related to the banking system. I will gather our specialists in the coming days. We are interested in Moldovan and Transnistrian enterprises operating legally. It is necessary to give everyone the opportunity to work, especially since these enterprises from Transnistria carry out a large volume of sales and export of goods to the right bank or to the European Union,” said Igor Dodon.

He also promised that 38 politically motivated criminal cases brought against citizens of Transnistria would be closed in the near future.

The meeting of the presidents of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Republic of Moldova is completed. It lasted more than four hours.

The first part, a tête-à-tête with managers, took about an hour. Three more were discussed by an expanded group. At the end of the conversation, Vadim Krasnoselsky and Igor Dodon summed up the results of the bilateral meeting.

Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the most important thing in the negotiation process is to achieve the implementation of agreements.

“I am glad that the Moldovan side has cooperated, and now the question of terminating 38 criminal cases is open. Now it is important to exchange information so that we know for which citizens of Pridnestrovie decisions have been made to terminate criminal cases in order to bring information to the recipients,” Krasnoselsky said.

According to him, the final agreement on the negotiations in the “5+2” format in Bratislava was not signed due to the unresolved banking problem between Moldova and Transnistria.

“There is no tragedy, this is work, and it will continue. I am focused on practical results. “Both I, and the President of Moldova, and all participants in the “5+2” format, and members of expert groups must be guided by the principle, the essence of which is not only to sign, but also to implement,” Krasnoselsky emphasized.
