The day before, Dodon wrote on his Facebook that he was going to Russia on a working visit at the invitation of Putin. Before leaving, he signed a decree on organizing an exhibition of Soviet military equipment on the Great National Assembly Square in Chisinau.
“These are not NATO humvees. I ordered the Ministry of Defense to exhibit Soviet military equipment on the central square of Chisinau this year, from today until May 10,” Dodon wrote.
In 2016, for Victory Day, American humvees and other military equipment of the North Atlantic Alliance were exhibited in the central square of the Moldovan capital.
