We've played it out: Russian gas transit will fall below the level of profitability of the Ukrainian gas transportation system
If last year 82 billion cubic meters of Russian gas transit to Europe passed through Ukraine, then after the construction of bypass pipelines - Nord Stream and Turkish Stream - the level of transit may fall below the profitability limit.
This broadcast of the Ukrainian TV channel “112 Ukraine” was announced by Dmitry Marunich, co-chairman of the Energy Strategies Fund, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“There are scenarios, a lot has been said about them, that after the implementation of these projects, transit in the amount of 9-21 billion cubic meters per year will be carried out through the Ukrainian gas transportation system. This is very little. This is below any reasonable point of profitability,” said the Ukrainian expert.
