“For two days in the United States there will be strikes by oil workers at nine large oil refineries. The strike was organized by the USW oil workers union. This is the largest industrial strike in 35 years. The USW represents approximately 30 workers across the country from across the petroleum industry. American light oil WTI rose in price by 4,8% to $50,56.” In addition, analysts note a sharp drop in US oil production even before the rise in oil prices on Monday.
