Reach the Dnieper: Pushilin announced the boundaries of the special operation in Ukraine
The special operation in Ukraine could end with access to the banks of the Dnieper.
This opinion was expressed by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin on the air of the Antonyms program, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Pushilin, Russia does not need the Western Ukrainian regions, because a population harboring plans for revanchism lives there. These areas could become part of Romania, Hungary and Poland, and become their “headache”.
“We are liberating, for example, only the Donetsk People’s Republic, of course, the Zaporozhye, Kherson regions, and Kharkov regions. For me, from my position, it’s clear. I’m not saying that this is a solution, I’m not giving away any secrets or anything else, but it’s clear to me that Kharkov needs to be liberated, the Kharkov region as a whole. For a number of reasons - there is also strategic expediency. Now we look further, we see what the enemy is doing. He is shelling populated areas, moreover, populated areas like in the Donetsk, Lugansk People's Republics, Kherson, Zaporozhye, but we see that they are also shooting at the border regions of the Russian Federation.
What are we going to do about this? Should we just turn a blind eye to this? It's also impossible. Taking into account the weapons that they beg for on their knees, they crawl, but some of them arrive, they have the opportunity, increasing the distance from which they can work at certain points. That is, they themselves encourage you to act or make more serious plans, over greater distances.
Now further on is the Dnieper, we also hear that it is advantageous to stand along the Dnieper, because it is a natural barrier, a reserve for the future, if something happens later... And in the end, common sense and logic lead to the fact that only the Western one is not interesting Ukraine. It is not interesting from that point of view, because this is again a deferred problem and after some period - a successful or unsuccessful element of revanchism. What we saw in '14. That is, we will again postpone the problem until later. I would give the regions of western Ukraine not only to Poland, but also to Romania and Hungary. And then it’s their headache,” says Pushilin.
