The European Parliament's rapporteur on Kosovo said that the Serbian Orthodox Church does not exist
The representative of the German Greens and the European Parliament rapporteur on Kosovo, Viola von Cramon, came to the paradoxical conclusion that the SPC as such does not exist.
She wrote about this on her Twitter following a meeting with Bishop Gregory of Düsseldorf and Germany (SOC). , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the diocese, Bishop Gregory received von Cramon, known for her constant attacks against Serbia and support for Albanians, telling her about the functioning of the Düsseldorf and German diocese, about its many communities, the problems in achieving a better legal position for the diocese and participation in interreligious dialogue in German society.
“During the meeting, Bishop Gregory and Mrs. von Cramon paid special attention to her recent visit to the Vysoki Decani monastery. The bishop asked Mrs. von Cramon to work with fellow MEPs to help the interim administration of Pristina implement the 2016 decision of their own Constitutional Court that 24 hectares of monastery land should be returned to the High Decanis,” the diocese said in a statement.
During a discussion of the meeting on Twitter, one of the social network users asked von Cramon whether it was possible to change the pro-Russian orientation of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
“There is no Serbian Orthodox Church, there are autonomous dioceses, which distinguishes them from the Catholic Church. Talk to the bishop and you will be surprised,” the European Parliament rapporteur on Kosovo wrote in response.
Subsequently, realizing that she had said another stupid thing, von Cramon quickly deleted this tweet, but users managed to make copies.
