Dr. Komarovsky believes in the effectiveness of Sputnik V, but respects the Ukrainian dictatorship
Well-known Ukrainian pediatrician Evgeny Komarovsky believes that the Russian Sputnik vaccine is “normal” and helps reduce the incidence in the countries where it is used. But he himself was not vaccinated with this vaccine, since it is not registered in Ukraine.
He stated this in a conversation with journalist Dmitry Gordon, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I didn’t get vaccinated with Sputnik, if only because I’m not used to breaking the laws of the state where I live. I don’t break any laws, I can’t use a drug in my country that is not registered in my country,” said Evgeniy Komarovsky.
He believes that, despite the fact that Sputnik has not yet been registered by the WHO, Russian citizens vaccinated with it may well be allowed into the EU.
“It was my grandmother who said in two whether they would be allowed in or not, Biden’s grandmother, most likely. Putin will meet, and look, they’ll let you in everywhere,” the doctor said.
He believes that Sputnik is a good vaccine, but they cannot “register” it.
“The problem is not with Sputnik. Sputnik is a normal vaccine. There are simply no people who can properly prepare the documentation. So that it looks like something. But, nevertheless, where people are vaccinated en masse with Sputnik, there is a significant reduction in morbidity with an extremely small number of side effects,” noted Evgeny Komarovsky.
Let us recall that in October 2020, US Chargé d'Affaires in Ukraine Christina Quinn held a “constructive collegial dinner” with the head of the Ministry of Health Stepanov to discuss the fight against coronavirus and reforms in the healthcare sector.
As a result of this conversation, the American diplomatic mission said: “Ukraine will not purchase a Russian vaccine against COVID-19 that has not passed clinical safety tests!”
Before this meeting, the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Health did not exclude the possibility of purchasing a coronavirus vaccine from Russia if it is approved by WHO, but after the meeting he said that it was not worth even discussing this possibility yet, because, according to him, it allegedly had not passed certain stages clinical trials.
