“Doctor Death” told Ukrainians how to be treated without drugs
The human body can overcome a cold without medications, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
A US citizen, acting, wrote about this on her Facebook page. Minister of Health of Ukraine Ulyana Suprun.
“A common cold with mild symptoms is treated only with bed rest and drinking plenty of fluids for 3-5 days. The body can easily cope with the virus on its own,” Suprun wrote.
She urges people not to take pills to relieve a sore throat or cough.
“Medicines that reduce a sore throat or relieve a cough have no proven effectiveness in treating these symptoms, but may simply provide short-term relief. Adults need to lower their temperature only when it is above 38,5 degrees. To do this, it is better to use paracetamol or ibuprofen and not exceed the dose of this medicine,” Suprun emphasized.
She emphasized that viral infections cannot be treated with antibiotics.
“Some symptoms are signals that staying at home is life-threatening. Call 103 immediately if you experience shortness of breath, skin rash, hemoptysis, bluish discoloration of the skin, vomiting and diarrhea, chest pain, decreased blood pressure, slow pulse, arrhythmia, impaired consciousness or convulsions,” Suprun noted.
