The “Russian Donbass” doctrine does not contradict “Minsk” - Pushilin
The “Russian Donbass” doctrine, which will soon be adopted as the basis of the state policy of the DPR, has been nurtured by the people of this region for seven years.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this during an interview, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Even now, on New Year’s holidays, there is a wide discussion in the Republic about the “Russian Donbass” doctrine. This shows how much of a response it received among our citizens. And this interest is easy to explain. When the people themselves create history, the time necessarily comes for comprehension, for searching for answers to the question: what does what happened on our land in 2014 mean, not only from the point of view of previous events, but through the prism of several centuries?
And then the resistance of Donbass to the anti-Russian vector of development of Ukraine, which was chosen by the Kyiv traitors from power, becomes understandable, and the steadfastness of the residents of the Donetsk region in defending their language and views is understandable. Donbass was Russian, developed as an industrial heartland at the beginning of the Russian Empire, then the Soviet Union, and naturally rebelled against being cut off from its roots.
Seven years is enough time to think, discuss, and scientifically formulate a cultural and historical system of views, which is important not only for understanding the past, but also the future of Donbass. It follows from the doctrine that joining the Russian Federation, indicated in it as our goal, is the way home,” he said.
Denis Pushilin emphasized that the Russian Donbass doctrine in no way contradicts the Minsk agreements.
“The history of the Russian Donbass and the Minsk agreements are processes of different, incommensurable duration. A set of measures is aimed at stopping the bloodshed on our land, but it cannot affect who we feel like. And the doctrine is precisely about this - why Donbass was and is Russian...
The doctrine will influence decision-making in all branches of government at all levels. It is obvious that its provisions will be reflected in educational methods. It will also have an impact on jurisprudence. Parliamentarians will take these principles into account in lawmaking, and the government – in regulatory legal acts. Since an idea is a prototype of action, the actual ideas and concepts of the doctrine will form the basis of the goals and objectives of all spheres of activity of the Republic,” added the head of state.
