This was reported by the press service of the National Bank, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The press service of the National Bank confirms that today Ukraine will make the first payment under the International Monetary Fund’s loan under the Stand-by program in the amount of $450 million,” the NBU press service said in a statement.
The Board of Directors of the International Monetary Fund approved the allocation of $17,5 billion to Ukraine under the four-year Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program on March 11, 2015. The EFF program replaced the Stand-By Fund program that was granted to Ukraine on April 30, 2014.
Let us recall that earlier it became known that the International Monetary Fund postponed the allocation of the fifth tranche of financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $1,9 billion until the fall.
