Ukrainians' debts for gas have reached a record amount
The population's debt for gas reached UAH 38 billion, which became a record in the entire history of Ukraine.
Economist Alexander Okhrimenko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
“The debts of the population are now 38 billion UAH. There have never been so many in Ukraine. Never. Once there were 11 billion – oh, how much that was.
This money does not come to the heating and communal services. Remember, in Kyiv there was no (and some still do not have) hot water? Teplokommunenergo cannot carry out routine repairs; there is not enough money to transfer to NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine. but to tell the truth the government is lying. Good people, what have you done? Reduce gas tariffs and this debt will decrease,” he said.
