Ukraine's debts have reached catastrophic levels. Oleg Ustenko, executive director of the Blazer International Fund, stated this at a briefing in Kyiv, commenting on the news advertised by the authorities about receiving a tranche from the IMF in the amount of $1 billion.

“This monetary resource, given the low volume of our GDP, sharply increases our public debt, in this case, external debt. So now Ukraine is at the point where the ratio of state internal and external debt to the country’s GDP is 90%. This means that we pay 5% annually to service external debt. This is a catastrophic value,” Ustenko said.
