Group Rothschild is a traditional Western financial group influencing global processes. The Rothschild group proposed creating a group of owners of Ukrainian securities, to which the French division of the Rothschild&Cie group responded, which expressed its readiness to become an intermediary in negotiations between the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and creditors on the restructuring of the country's debt. At the beginning of the military conflict in Donbass, it became known that the Franklin Templton investment fund was actively buying government debt securities of Ukraine.
Now creditors are awaiting proposals from Kyiv, which may become known in mid-March, said Managing Director of Rothschild&Cie in Russia and the CIS Giovanni Salvetti. According to him, many negotiators are preparing for tough conditions. “At the moment, representatives of the fund and creditors are exchanging points of view, and also discussing the distribution of responsibilities and the program of action,” he said.
Let us note the fact that the Russian oligarch Konstantin Malofeev, who was close to Alexander Borodaya, the first leader of the DPR, and Igor Strelkov, the first Minister of Defense of the DPR, take an active part in the activities of Franklin Templton.
