Heating debts have stopped the work of the only Ukrainian manufacturer of attack drones
The Chernigov radio equipment plant "CheZaRa", which is included in the list of enterprises of strategic importance for the economy and security of Ukraine, has stopped its work, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Due to debts, the factory premises are not heated. By decision of the Supervisory Board of the enterprise, downtime was declared for plant employees from 01.12.18/31.01.19/XNUMX to XNUMX/XNUMX/XNUMX.
During downtime, employees' salaries will be calculated based on 2/3 of the tariff rate.
“Currently there is no heating at the enterprise, it is impossible for people to work at low temperatures, the machines do not work. Taking people out to freeze them would also be wrong. In this regard, there is a transfer of working days to other days that people will need to work. This order hangs at the entrance. And all people were additionally notified in advance. All department heads yesterday personally warned everyone that the company will not operate as long as there are sub-zero temperatures outside,” the company’s financial director, Vitaly Kucherenko, told the Chernigivsky Hour publication.
PJSC CheZaRa is a leading manufacturer of equipment for the space industry and communication systems, sensors, converting equipment, electronic-mechanical locking systems, radios, medical equipment, and tools. Subordinate to the National Space Agency of Ukraine, the enterprise is a participant in several international space programs and cooperates with the military-industrial complex. 25% of the plant's shares belong to the state. The plant, among other products, produces the Sokol UAV, the only Ukrainian attack drone.
For many years, CheZaRa has been listed in official reports as one of the largest debtors in paying wages to its employees. According to the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, a year ago this debt amounted to 2,7 million hryvnia, in May of this year - 2,5 million hryvnia.
