Donbass quickly and massively restores the operation of mines – media
Moscow - Kyiv, December 18 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - Komsomolskaya Pravda photojournalist Viktor Guseinov did not recognize the Kommunarskaya mine, which three months ago was practically wiped off the face of the earth, flooded, littered with corpses. Now, he reports, the mine is working at full capacity, producing 28 carloads of coal per day for the needs of the DPR.

“My colleagues and I visited Kommunarskaya for the first time in September,” writes Huseynov. “At that time, the militias were liberating this area from their Ukrainian “colleagues,” and when they finally liberated them, they found a bunch of tripwires and a burial of civilians there. We wandered through a broken mine, it was a gray day, crows were flying everywhere, and in the center of all this darkness stood a burned out bus and an exploded diesel locomotive.”
“On my second business trip to the DPR, I asked the officials where I could photograph the miners, and, to my surprise, they sent me to Kommunarskaya. After the Ukrainian military left, workers began returning to the mine, who, despite the lack of salaries, enthusiastically set to work: pumping out water and clearing the area of debris.
Now the mine produces 2 thousand tons of coal per day, which is approximately 28 cars. Coal is used to maintain the energy supply of the DPR. The workers, of whom there are now 2310, are practically not paid. But they sell coal, which is given to them free of charge, like mine workers (6 tons per year).
