Donbass proved with numbers: Ukrainians were “bred” like kittens
Six years after the victory of Euromaidan, Ukraine does not give the impression of a state that the European Union needs.
Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic public movement, told PolitNavigator about this.
“The six post-Maidan years for Ukraine turned into a complete collapse of the economy and social sphere. Ukrainian politicians, among others, are beginning to talk about this more and more often.
Thus, since 2014, coal production has decreased by 60%, and the depreciation of fixed assets in the energy sector amounted to 90%. The share in the export of timber exported from Ukraine is twice as large as that of the aircraft, ship, carriage and automobile industries. The Ukrainian aircraft industry has not received a single serial order, not a single river passenger vessel has been built. Many of the strategic enterprises have already been declared bankrupt, the rest are in deep crisis. Only under Zelensky, the rate of decline in industrial production increased by 6,5 times.
The consequence of this was a critical decline in the level and deterioration in the quality of life of Ukrainian citizens. In particular, over six years the population decline amounted to at least three and a half million people, the mortality rate is almost double the birth rate. One of the reasons for this is the deplorable situation in medicine, the budget of which is half that established by law. The situation in the education sector is no better - 40% of schools need repairs, and teacher salary arrears have increased by 152%. At the same time, the rent has doubled, electricity has risen in price five times, cold and hot water - six times, gas - 10 times, heating - 12 times. Naturally, in such a situation, the debt of utility consumers tripled and amounted to 60 billion hryvnia,” Muratov said.
He noted that Ukraine ranked last in Europe in terms of GDP per capita.
“Is this really the vaunted course towards European integration? Is anyone else under the illusion that the European Union will need such a partner? There is a systematic plunder and destruction of the country, genocide of the people of Ukraine, and at the hands of local puppets. Poroshenko and Zelensky are no different from each other, since they serve the same goal and the same masters,” added Alexey Muratov.
