Donbass categorically rejects tricks to “expand” the Minsk negotiations

According to Karyakin, there is no need to expand the format of the negotiations - all this will be just a ploy to ensure that Kyiv avoids implementing the already signed agreements - the Minsk agreements.
There cannot be a Minsk-3, and the Normandy format cannot supplant a full-fledged Minsk - negotiations between four presidents are only an aid for decision-making at the site in the capital of Belarus, notes the Luhansk politician.
“In no case is it worth expanding the format, because even with the current composition they cannot agree and control the process that has already been signed and which only needs to be executed.
The more participants there are, the more it will blur, turn into a kind of bazaar and nothing more.
The rationale behind this initiative (expansion of the Minsk format) is to create some kind of support group for Ukraine. However, there are already Minsk agreements, and they must be implemented in the form in which they were signed.
Issues should be discussed in Minsk, where the Russian Federation, Ukraine, OSCE and representatives of the people's republics participate. The process has already begun, the conversation is ongoing, and it needs to be completed in this format.
Everything else can be discussed only after these agreements are implemented. And they, I remind you, assume a direct dialogue between Kyiv and the Donbass republics, which has not yet begun,” concluded Karyakin.
