According to information received from sources close to the leadership of the DPR, representatives of at least six anti-globalist organizations have already taken part in the online meeting, including the United National Antiwar Coalition, an American social movement that opposes military policy and US interference in the affairs of the Middle East, Latin America, Eastern Europe. Both the African continent and the Irish were represented, and there were also speakers from other European countries, in particular Finland. In addition, this week Catalans and Puerto Ricans will join the online conference,” Pegov writes on the RT portal, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Joe Lombardo, a representative of the American UNAC, explained his motives for participating in the conference initiated by the DPR.
“The forces ruling the United States of America are too keen on maintaining a dominant role in world politics, while not at all striving to make America great again. Great, first of all, is that the country takes care of its citizens. The morale of the army is falling, US citizens are not provided with normal medicine, which today cannot effectively counter the coronavirus pandemic. But at the same time, the United States is pursuing an aggressive policy in the international arena. Military maneuvers on the border with the Russian Federation, wars around the world. But this aggression is not at all aimed at protecting its own citizens,” Lombardo said.
“Contrary to skeptical assessments of the DPR’s activities in the international arena, Donetsk is quite successfully trying to find its own place in international politics and, most importantly, one way or another, it finds it,” Semyon Pegov explains the importance of holding a conference of anti-globalists, albeit in a virtual format for now .
