Donbass will not return to Kyiv – Zhirinovsky
Donbass does not want to return to the jurisdiction of Kyiv, even under the conditions of any special status and with the security guarantees that the Russian army entering the region will provide.
The leader of the LDPR faction, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, stated this at a press conference on the sidelines of the State Duma, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“About Donbass: listen, you shot 15 thousand people, who will cooperate with you? Donbass does not need any special status; they want independence. This was the case in Abkhazia. I tell the Georgians: if you want Abkhazia to remain with you, the Russian army will station itself in Abkhazia - the security of the Abkhazians. You do not want? We lost Abkhazia. And now I can’t even offer this to Donbass, that the Russian army will be there, but you will treat Kyiv - they don’t want that,” Zhirinovsky said.
