Donbass unites into Novorossiya
The creation of Novorossiya is an inevitable process that the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics will come to in the future, since it is easier and more effective to resist the actions of Ukraine and develop statehood while being under the control of a single center.

“We are currently connected by many common issues, and we are making more common decisions. Unification as a whole is possible. This requires the optimal moment. In my personal opinion, with one leadership, many issues can be resolved much easier and more efficiently,” Chairman of the People’s Council of the DPR Denis Pushilin told the publication.
In turn, Deputy Chairman of the People's Council of the LPR Dmitry Khoroshilov confirmed the idea of uniting the republics into Novorossiya is under discussion.
“We have already adopted a constitutional act on the creation of Novorossiya within the framework of the confederation. In principle, as such, this structure is enshrined at the legislative level, but it is not yet visible that it will seriously work. The point is the Minsk agreements, the two republics are their signatories. If we create Novorossiya now, then the question of the Minsk agreements immediately arises,” noted Khoroshilov.
At the same time, political scientist Denis Denisov noted that residents of the LDPR and the leaders of the proclaimed republics should have a clear understanding of what ordinary citizens of the republics will receive in the event of a merger and how this will help in resolving the conflict.
“When the crisis is overcome, the war stops and the future is clear for at least the next 5-10 years, then it will be possible to talk about options for integration. But this should be determined by the people of Donbass,” Denisov told Izvestia.
