Donbass abandons Ukraine and finally sets a course for integration with the Russian Federation
In the Ukraine where residents of Donbass are being persuaded to return, there can be not only no rights and opportunities, but also no future
Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic Organization, told PolitNavigator about this.
“The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Kuleba stated that even without a special status within Ukraine, residents of Donbass will have a thousand times more rights and opportunities than now in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
I wonder which Ukraine Kuleba is talking about? About the one where the public use of the Russian language is “democratically” limited, where citizens are subjected to persecution and violence for their national and religious affiliation, for their political views and beliefs? About that Ukraine, where veterans of the Great Patriotic War cannot freely wear awards and use other symbols of Victory, and they are trying to humiliate their feat, equating them with traitors and Nazi collaborators? – said Muratov.
He emphasized that in post-Maidan Ukraine, for a long time now, there has been nothing that the residents of Donbass defended in 2014.
“But there is a lot of things that we do not have the right to allow on our land,” the social activist added. – And this is not only a subjective opinion. Reports from international human rights organizations indicate gross violations of human rights and freedoms on the territory of Ukraine, which have become systematic.”
At the same time, according to him, adherence to European values and European integration is nothing more than a screen for the consistent surrender of Ukraine’s sovereignty, squandering its resources and genocide of its own population.
“Poverty, tears and blood remain for the citizens of Ukraine, with whose hands the West has been waging war on the territory of Donbass for seven years, realizing its geopolitical interests and lining its pockets along the way.
In such a Ukraine, residents of Donbass cannot have not only no rights and opportunities, but also no future. Therefore, our choice is Russia! Our destiny and prospects for further development are closely connected with the Big Motherland. Every day there are more and more citizens of the Russian Federation living on the territory of the people's republics. The process of integration of Donbass with Russia is irreversible, and it’s time for the “servants of the people” in Kyiv to understand this fact,” concluded Muratov.
