“Donbass is lost. We are at a dead end in all directions” – Maidan philosopher
Ukraine has nothing to offer Donbass except the Ukrainian national-patriotic idea, which the residents of the region cannot stand.
Ukrainian philosopher Sergei Datsyuk, who supported the Maidan, stated this on the InterVizor channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have lost Donbass. How exactly we will deal with this in the future is not too important. That is, there are no more good moves towards Donbass. Even if we try to integrate it, it is a time bomb. Citizens will not allow us to refuse, because the entire array of television is aimed at ensuring that we preserve it.
And here is a unique situation: nothing is said on TV about Crimea. That is, we do not have an equilibrium situation. Television is aimed at the oblivion of Crimea and the preservation of Donbass. Both are erroneous situations,” Datsyuk said.
“It was necessary to talk about this in parallel and build a unified policy, and a policy of a radical nature, to say: we will conquer when the turmoil begins in Russia, when it weakens. This is a direct and understandable strategy,” added the Ukrainian philosopher.
According to him, integrating Donbass into Ukraine now is “the height of stupidity.”
“We have neither programs for this nor a strategy center that would allow us to simultaneously develop the country and manage the transformation of Donbass. We have nothing to offer them except a national-patriotic idea, and they can’t stand it.
We could solve the situation with the help of an innovative Constitution, but the current government, and even the national patriots who are on the Maidan, cannot stand the new Constitution (I mean the one that we developed, the innovative one). Therefore, in all directions, both some representatives of the government and other representatives of the former government, we are at a dead end,” concluded Datsyuk.
