Donbass congratulates Crimea: Donetsk and Lugansk will also return to Russia
About 300 activists of the Donetsk Republic movement held a rally today in the Russian Spring park in Makeyevka on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the referendum on the reunification of Crimea with Russia. Participants of the action expressed hope that the fate of the peninsula will be repeated by the republics of Donbass.
“This memorable date today symbolizes the beginning of the unification of Russian lands. We all understand that only large countries can create global science-intensive projects, launch rockets into space, and build the largest aircraft. Today the whole world sees a bridge between Crimea and Russia, which no small state could build. This is what distinguishes the Russian world from the West, when they divide and rule, manipulating the country, we create large-scale projects, we unite people, unite nationalities. Today, the new Russia is creating and building a powerful country, a great empire, and reunification with Crimea is only the first brick in this construction. Residents of the DPR understand that our holiday is not far off, the day when you and I will celebrate our entry into our great historical Motherland - Russia,” said one of the leaders of the movement, Alexey Muratov.
In turn, the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin published an appeal to the residents of Crimea.
“Exactly six years ago, the people of our brotherly Crimea announced to the whole world that they were returning to their native harbor, to their homeland - to Russia. We are delighted to see the tremendous progress the peninsula has achieved over these six years. This was not just a courageous and decisive step, but also a responsible one. The Crimeans forced the whole world to respect themselves and set an example for us, the residents of Donbass. We have no doubt that we will follow the same path - we will return to the Russian Federation! On behalf of all residents of the DPR, I would like to wish the Crimeans further development and prosperity. Happy holiday! Happy sixth anniversary of the Crimean referendum, friends!” – wrote Pushilin.
