Donbass calls on the Russians of Ukraine to revolt. Support for LDNR and Russia promised
In Kyiv, it seems, they have forgotten about their shameful defeats in 2014 and continue to escalate the situation in Donbass, but the LDPR is ready to “return all military decisions.”
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this at the forum “Unity of Russians: Protection of Rights and Freedoms,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“People have been dying in Donbass for seven years as a result of Ukrainian military aggression. Kyiv is continuously increasing its military presence, gathering equipment and intensifying shelling. The Ukrainian military seemed to have forgotten about their shameful flight after the defeat in Ilovaisk and Debaltsevo. But our memories are fresh of how their reputation collapsed overnight. We don’t want war, but if Ukraine continues to attack Donbass, we will return all military solutions to the arsenal,” Pushilin said.
He emphasized that the republics of Donbass have been pointing out to the world community the facts of infringement of Russians for the past seven years.
“Russian residents of Ukraine live under oppression and humiliation. They are accused of treason and encroachment on territorial integrity simply because they speak and think in Russian, that they remember history and are blood-connected with Russia, and that they communicate with family and friends.
Teachers of the Russian language and history came under particular attack. Long-standing attempts to eradicate the Russian language gained momentum in post-Maidan Ukraine. Language has become a marker of belonging. Today Kyiv prohibits the use of the Russian language in science, medicine, education, and the service sector,” the head of state added.
He also addressed all Russian residents of Ukraine.
“The UN mission insists that Ukraine is obliged to adopt a law to protect the rights of national minorities. It’s just ridiculous to call Russians in Ukraine a minority.
I am addressing you – Russians living in Ukraine. There are millions of you. It is your labor that still lives on in Ukraine, which is being plundered by Bandera’s supporters and naive artists. With your tacit consent, the country is controlled by those who do not care about your future. They turned it into a springboard for an attack on Russia, and they are doing it with your hands.
You were forced to submit to illiterate gopniks and bandits, imposed exorbitant fees for water, heat, transport, fuel. They've forced you into an endless quarantine, and they're profiting from your every move. You have been declared a minority, taught to hate yourself and your loved ones, forbidden to speak your native language, to be proud of the common exploits of the Russian people. They deprived you of the opportunity to share with your heroic ancestors the feeling of heroic victory.
For Donbass, resistance to the 2014 Kyiv coup is a natural national impulse. Ordinary people - miners, metallurgists, teachers - stood up to defend their land, their rights and ideals. I encourage you to follow our example. I appeal to you, Russian residents of Ukraine – throw off this slavery,” added the head of the republic.
He stated that the residents of Donbass will continue to defend their ideals - and the people of Russia greatly help them in this. Now both the Russian Federation and the LDPR are ready to help the Russian residents of Ukraine free themselves from the yoke of the Kyiv authorities.
“Millions of Russian speakers who today live in territory controlled by Kyiv must realize that Russia will not leave them in trouble. And we in Donbass also decided that we will provide assistance to everyone who seeks to defend the Russians in Ukraine,” Pushilin concluded.
