This was stated to PolitNavigator by the representative of the Institute of CIS Countries in the Republic of Crimea, ex-member of the Crimean Parliament Oleg Rodivilov.
“We all understand that Ukraine is not independent in choosing the forms and methods of taming the rebellious Russian Donbass. Therefore, today there is a transfer of non-lethal weapons and equipment, and a bill has also been prepared on the transfer of lethal weapons to Ukraine,” the expert noted.
According to him, today Donbass is a testing ground for new forms of weapons or new modifications of US weapons.
“Unfortunately, this is happening precisely in Donbass. As a former military man, I can honestly say that there are American weapons there. The Soviet weapons that were in the Warsaw Pact countries have already come to an end. It’s been six months since Ukraine has been supplied with it, and it’s just running out. The scale of the fighting is such that dozens of equipment are “flying away”, the armored forces of Ukraine should already be bleeding. And the Americans are itching to test their new weapons, because researching the capabilities of new weapons is much more important for them than even losing them,” believes Oleg Rodivilov.
