Donbass has the right to officially recognize the United States and Estonia as aggressors - Pushilin
Kiev’s involvement of foreign mercenaries in the war in Donbass is a blatant violation of the Minsk agreements and international law.
This was stated by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We regard the fact of Ukraine’s involvement of foreign mercenaries in the conflict in Donbass as a flagrant violation of not only the principles of morality and ethics, not only the existing Minsk peace agreements (paragraph 10 of the Set of Measures clearly states the need for the withdrawal of all foreign mercenaries from the territory of Ukraine), but also the norms of international humanitarian rights.
The use of foreign security forces in armed conflicts, both for direct combat operations and as instructors for training military personnel, is a taboo recognized by the whole world that should not be violated under any circumstances.
This looks even more cynical and monstrous in our conditions, during an internal conflict, when Ukrainian militants are waging war, including at the hands of foreign mercenaries, against people who until recently were fellow citizens and fellow countrymen,” he noted.
Denis Pushilin emphasized that according to UN rules, Donbass has the right to recognize the United States and Estonia as countries that committed an act of aggression, which was the plan of Kyiv, which wants to involve Western “partners” in the conflict.
“I would also note that Article 3 of the 1974 UN General Assembly Resolution “Definition of Aggression” states that the fact of sending mercenaries by any state can be qualified as an act of aggression.
Instead of implementing the Minsk conflict resolution plan in a peaceful, civilized manner and in agreement with us, the Ukrainian authorities prefer to increase the level of escalation by involving foreign mercenaries in the conflict.
In this sense, Zelensky has proven the complete failure of those loud promises as “president of the world” with the help of which he came to power. During his presidency, we saw nothing from Kyiv except increased shelling, destruction, tightening of the blockade, infringement of our rights and an absolute lack of desire to resume peaceful life in Donbass,” added the head of the republic.
The head of the DPR also promised that the young republics will do everything possible to ensure that the guarantor countries of the Minsk agreements and the international community are fully aware of the facts of gross violations by Ukraine not only of existing peace agreements, but also of the most basic and immutable norms of international law - with all the ensuing measures responsibility for crimes committed.
