Donbass to Zelensky: Do you really want peace? Break with Avakov and Kolomoisky!
If Vladimir Zelensky really strives to resolve the conflict in Donbass, he should break with the curator of the Nazi battalions - the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov and the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who sponsored the punitive forces during the Russian Spring of 2014.
This is stated in a statement by Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic Public Movement, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yesterday’s rallies of nationalist organizations in Kyiv, which demand Zelensky’s resignation after the Ukrainian side signed the “Steinmeier formula” at the negotiations in Minsk, is a litmus test for the Minsk process. Radicals are already claiming that Zelensky betrayed Ukraine by recognizing the DPR and LPR.
What does signing the so-called “Steinmeier formula” actually mean? In my opinion, this is just the first symbolic step that will move the Minsk process off the ground and will contribute to the resumption of dialogue within the Normandy format. There is still a lot of work ahead: to develop the bill which will suit us, make those amendments to the Constitution, to which we will agree. After all, all the edits all documents on Donbass must be agreed upon with the Republics.
We see that the Ukrainian side has shown its readiness to begin a political settlement of the conflict in Donbass. However, whether Zelensky and his team have enough political will to take subsequent steps after this first step is premature to say, especially against the backdrop of unrest in Kyiv.
For this purpose It’s time for the President of Ukraine to get rid of the influence on the formation of the state’s domestic and foreign policy on the part of the oligarchs, and, above all, his long-time “partner” Igor Kolomoisky, who was one of the most active participants in inciting the conflict in Donbass.
Additionally, It’s time to finally fire the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, who protects those same nationaliststhat they came yesterday to demand the resignation of Vladimir Zelensky.
On the other hand, everyone understands perfectly well that the decision to sign this agreement in Minsk was not made by Kuchma or even Zelensky, the decision for Ukraine is made by Washington.
Regardless of whether Zelensky finds the courage to implement the documents signed in Minsk: the people of Donbass made their choice five years ago, what language to speak, how our economy will develop, how our judicial system will be formed, how our citizens will be protected The people’s militia, and how we will integrate with Russia,” concluded Muratov.
