Donbass city is being forced to name a square in honor of a Ukrainian witch
The chairman of the public organization “Your New City”, Vladimir Yelets, proposes to the military-civil administration of the city of Toretsk, which is under Ukrainian control, to rename the park “50th anniversary of the Komsomol” in honor of the deceased machine gunner, Kharkov resident Yana Chervona.
“We consider this event a very symbolic and strong step in the patriotic education of the youth of our city, as well as perpetuating the memory of the fallen defenders and volunteers in the Russian-Ukrainian war. In addition, this will certainly help improve the aesthetic appearance of the city and improve the environmental situation,” the appeal says.
The activist sent an appeal with a proposal to rename it to the CAA on April 16, but has not yet received any feedback.
The deceased machine gunner, who used the call sign “Witch,” was used in a custom flash mob of the military initiated by the Poroshenko administration against National Corps activists who were disrupting Poroshenko’s rallies. Yana Chervonnaya posed with a sign that read: “National Corps and National Brigades! Aren’t you ashamed to hide behind my back?”
Thank you!
