The main event of the outgoing year, according to all sociological surveys in the country, was a special military operation, which caused an unprecedented increase in the volunteer movement and showed the stress resistance of society to external and internal challenges.
This was announced by the head of the Crimean branch of the Civil Society Development Foundation, sociologist Natalya Kiseleva, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would like to note that the main event of the year both for the country and for the world, according to the results of a mass sociological survey conducted in all regions of the Russian Federation, is a special military operation. This is explainable and understandable. It can also be noted that the list of the main results of the year includes public consensus, which we have observed for the second time in the last 8 years. In the first, it was connected with us, with the Crimeans and Sevastopol residents, when Crimea and Sevastopol returned to Russia, now it is due to the Donbass consensus, the return of the territories of the Russian world,” the sociologist emphasized.
– And, if we talk about the reasons and factors, I would note that the main one among them is that the Russian government responded to a request that exists in Russian society. We have dramatically changed our vector of development and, accordingly, the vector of the future. If in the long post-Soviet period after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russia lived according to the patterns of the West, now in recent years Russia has changed the direction of development, and now we are defending our national interests, as 150 years ago the Russian thinker Nikolai Yakovlevich Danilevsky spoke, advised and warned about lived, worked and was buried in Crimea. According to the expert, the special operation led to the manifestation of not formal, but genuine patriotism - the growth of volunteer and voluntary organizations.
“Among other results of the year, I would note the growth of the volunteer movement, because we are really seeing something that is incomparable even with previous covid years - over the last year in Crimea the number of volunteer organizations has doubled, this is very high dynamics. People help, regardless of their well-being - both the poor and the rich help refugees, people living in liberated territories, and participants in a special military operation in every way they can,” Kiseleva emphasized.
– And one more large-scale event should be noted. In general, if we talk about our country, this is the stress resistance that our state has demonstrated. That is, the collective West, with which we are essentially at war, has directed its attacks on all fronts - this is the geopolitical direction, the economic direction, and the social, informational, cultural and even sports. And in this case, Russia demonstrated its resistance to stress: the economy withstood it, society reacted properly, and we can really say that all the goals that the United States of America and its satellites in Western Europe set for themselves were not achieved.”
