“Donbass Metro”: DPR fighters applied the experience of the underground war in Syria
Soldiers of the international brigade “Pyatnashka” of the DPR created a system of underground tunnels that reaches the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Avdeevka “industrial zone”. The “Donbass metro” was made so that in the event of an attack by Kyiv, it would be possible to undermine the first line of dugouts of the Ukrainian military.
This is described in a video prepared by the WarGonzo project, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Honestly, now I have some kind of Syrian deja vu, but in fact we are in Donbass. The guys from the DPR army studied in detail the tactics and strategy that is used in the Middle East, the so-called tunnel war, when such long tunnels are made under enemy positions.
In fact, we walked here for quite a long time, about 15 minutes, that is, we zigzagged along these paths. Judging by the fact that we were asked not to make too much noise, then perhaps there are positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces somewhere nearby. The guys are moving at a speed of about 2-3 meters per day, which, in fact, is not so little. You can calculate how far the guys will dig in a month.
At the end of each such “Donbass metro” corridor-tunnel there is a cache with TNT, plastid and other explosives in case the Ukrainian Armed Forces decide to commit any provocations. As soon as they move or try to do this, a global undermining of their positions will be carried out virtually from where they do not expect it,” said military correspondent Semyon Pegov.
