“Return to Ukraine means a return to its legal and information field, to its value matrix, to its cultural context,” the publication believes. – In this understanding, it did not happen even in the territories that were liberated a year ago. The main philistine sentiment there is “I wish it would all end soon,” but not everyone is interested in how: they won’t shoot, and that’s good. Rumors about the inhuman cruelty of the Ukrainian army and the “order” that reigns in the “LPR-DPR”, where the power is “real”, that is, with fists and the KGB zeal for reprisals, still live and are fueled here. All that is needed from the “junta” here is timely social payments, and in return, perhaps, agreement to have a passport with a trident, this is all “patriotism”.
Therefore, the magazine is convinced that negotiations with the rebel region should be conducted exclusively on Ukrainian terms.

Separatism and terrorism should not have a statute of limitations, and belonging to a country implies loyalty to its sovereignty. Without this, there will be no pensions, no subsidies for mines, or restoration of the infrastructure destroyed by the war. Only on such conditions will negotiations on the return of “an integral part of Ukraine” be constructive, and not a game between a beginner and a sharpie.”
