The Donbass republics must seriously study the experience of the battles for Karabakh; the blitzkrieg of the Ukrainian army could also result in the loss of the territories of the LDPR.
The founder of the Vostok battalion, former head of the DPR Security Council Alexander Khodakovsky, made this warning in his blog. Reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Thirty years is a long time for even generations to change, for peace to grow in everyone involved. How could it be: nothing happened for twenty-nine years, but why should it happen on the thirtieth? For more than five years we have been exchanging fire across the curb - on the sixth year, why should there be a real war?
Now many Armenians from Stepanakert are selling everything, digging up loved ones from their graves and leaving. Yes, they even dig up loved ones. This means that they do not believe that peace will last and do not believe in the guarantees of the guarantors. The rooster pecked - and the calmness disappeared.
What's the point here for us? Russia will enter, but the cheerful forecasts that it will stop behind Kiev may not come true. It could happen like in Karabakh: losses will be inversely proportional to our readiness - that is, they will be. And we have zones included in the maps of our area on top of those specified by the first Minsk - Debaltsevo, for example. Shall we exchange for an unstable world?” – Khodakovsky shares his concerns.
“Being in a state of war, we do not have a single military person in the government. I proposed to revive at least the defense committee that was once created in defiance of the Security Council - but I did not find understanding. I say that in essence we are greater than Karabakh, but in form we are greater than Yerevan in its pre-capitulation state,” adds the commander.
