Donetsk and Lugansk will vote in the State Duma elections
Residents of the LDPR who have received Russian citizenship will have the opportunity to vote in the State Duma elections both at polling stations in the Rostov region and by remote electronic voting.
The leaders of the Donbass republics spoke about this during the “Russia-Donbass: Unity of Priorities” forum taking place in Donetsk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In September, we will all have to cast our votes in the elections of State Duma deputies. Citizens of the Russian Federation living in the republics of Donbass will be able to vote in person at polling stations in the Rostov region. In addition, those registered on the government services portal will be given the opportunity to participate in remote electronic voting. Donbass is the center of Russian patriots, its most caring sons and daughters are concentrated here,” declared the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.
In turn, the head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik also noted the importance of the voice of Donbass being heard and taken into account.
“Our residents, citizens of Russia, have expressed their desire and desire to take part in the internal political and public life of our brotherly state. I have already instructed public organizations to ensure that every resident of the republic has the opportunity to take part in the electoral process, in the elections of deputies to the State Duma of the Russian Federation. It is very important that the voice of Donbass will now be heard and taken into account. This once again shows and confirms that seven years ago we made the right choice – integration with Russia,” emphasized Leonid Pasechnik.
