In Donetsk, artillery cannonade did not stop throughout the day, and volleys of heavy guns were heard by residents of almost all districts of the city.
If just two weeks ago the military confrontation was concentrated in the airport area, now the geography of the fighting has expanded. The Petrovsky district was subjected to massive shelling. Here, a large number of shells fell on the private residential sector, and direct hits were also recorded on multi-story buildings.
In the Kuibyshevsky district there were also direct hits on residential buildings. For example, on Kuibyshev Avenue, 4 GRAD MLRS shells fell into the courtyard of a residential building. Near one of the craters you can see a child's sled: according to eyewitnesses, the mother miraculously managed to save the child, grabbing him and running away immediately after the shelling began. And as usual, the situation is extremely difficult in the village of Oktyabrsky, near the railway station. The largest number of shell hits into residential buildings and infrastructure structures was recorded here.
In general, as a result of the shelling, more than fifty transformer substations were damaged and disconnected, and due to a shell hit, the 110 kV cable on the Kirov high-voltage lines was damaged, and therefore 3 boiler houses of the Teploset KP were de-energized.
At the moment, the intensity of shelling has decreased, and data on the damage and destruction caused is being clarified.
