Donetsk is not being evacuated, but is preparing for war
Moscow - Kyiv, July 15 (Navigator, Mikhail Stamm) - There will be no call for evacuation from the pro-Kiev authorities of Donetsk, reports MK’s special correspondent. In a city of one million, shops and entertainment centers are closing, people are buying salt and holding on to work.

The huge “Donetsk City” does not work, “Green Plaza” has closed, on the website of the “Multiplex” cinema chain – where there used to be films, prices and screenings – there are just blank pages. Some bank branches and all branches of Privatbank, which is associated with Igor Kolomoisky, were closed. Most ATMs are not serviced. The remaining stores are open until a maximum of 20-00.
There are no people in the city, few cars and no fear at all. Rather, it is permanent horror. It covers entire neighborhoods, and people are fleeing en masse. Most often, go to the yard and talk to the neighbors. What can you not hear here! Last week the hit was the end of salt. The salt in the region is like the shoe polish factory: in Artemovsk there are deposits that have already been mined fifty years in the future. But the store shelves were cleared with heroic efforts. I personally saw a man with a cart in Auchan - 40 kilograms of salt! Now they have brought her back again.
The people who remain are trying to go to work. Work now is the main anchor and the place that one holds on to until the end. Those who remain. Those who “go horrified” simply do not go to the enterprises and run away. The Ukrainian Ministry of Social Policy even sent out an explanatory letter. Now in the ATO zone a person cannot be fired for absenteeism.
The city is quiet today. Relatively quiet. This means they don’t shoot, but something happens all the time. There are few cars on the streets. Enough of the ubiquitous and indestructible taxi drivers and cars without license plates with people in camouflage. The latter often ignore traffic lights. So often that on Monday the Donetsk City Council issued an order to switch all traffic lights in the city to “Attention” mode - flashing yellow.
