People felt a new meaning in their lives, their historical memory awakened in them. It is safe to say that the people have become different, and they will never want to return to their previous state, and they will not be able to.

Despite the very tense situation in the city, despite the fact that shells sent by the military are exploding in Donetsk itself, and civilians are dying in their homes, the persistent residents were not afraid. And by their presence at this rally they showed courage, they showed that they are unbending and it is impossible to break them.
Elderly people, boys of about ten years old, pretty girls and activists of Novorossiya were united on this day. There were a variety of people performing on stage that evening and the atmosphere was amazing. Many famous people gathered to support Donetsk and its residents, as well as to celebrate the historical date, which is perceived in a completely new way these days.
Speakers included the Chairman of the Union Parliament of Novorossiya Oleg Tsarev, the “People’s Governor” of the Donetsk Republic Pavel Gubarev, and the Prime Minister of the DPR Alexander Boroday.
All of them were greeted with applause and encouraging exclamations, expressing both people's trust and support.
The leaders of Novorossiya declared their full readiness to follow the intended path to the end, and assured those present that victory and the establishment of a peaceful life is the only goal, and it will be achieved.
Margarita Zeidler, who became the favorite of the Donetsk public, also appeared on stage, whose fiery performance was more than once interrupted by applause. I especially remember the words of an elderly but very strong-willed woman who appeared on stage with her grandson, who miraculously escaped after the artillery shelling of Krasnogorovka carried out by the National Guard. After those terrible minutes, the boy literally lost peace, and kept asking his grandmother if they would be bombed again. The woman told all this with tears in her eyes, and the words she said echoed in the hearts of people with pain and anger.
But still, that evening the optimism and good spirits of those present were dominant, and despite everything, people smiled and were united. Here poems were recited, original songs were performed, and then there was a very touching moment when candles were lit near the stage, with one word inscribed - NOVOROSSIYA. A new time has come.
